JOHN LENNON 30 years ago TODAY

ON THIS DAY, DECEMBER 8, 2010

WE REMEMBER JOHN AND SEND OUR LOVE TO JOHN AND YOKO

ON THIS DAY, DECEMBER 8, 2010
"Blessings and Beauty to us all
I hear John's Voice in the wind
up in heaven and against the wall
John and Yoko forever in Soul
as we hear John's voice in the wind"
(words by paneagle)

THE MUSICIANS LEGACY

One must also take notice the deaths of the many great artists and musicians in our times. The who's who of modern music, John Lennon, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Ricky Nelson, Buddy Holly, Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, and Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, Bobby Kennedy, JFK, and so many others who died young and left us "The Song". It is the sound that is life, and so they all lived in its name.

PUBLIC DEATH

Public death of John Lennon was perhaps the most emphatic of all. Society is probably much at fault. The human consciousness surely still in survival mode, taking what it wants, not giving in return to Earth or each other, and a civilization built on money, greed, self-interest all play a role, including the religious righteousness (such as when John said the Beatles were more popular than Jesus) and military power and economic co-dependence. John Lennon stood up, often alone, against these things and media manipulation, even as he lived with it or upon it, and tried to show its best side.

LONG LIVE JOHN

LONG LIVE SOUL, JOHN, YOKO, BEATLES, MUSIC AND LOVE!

John Lennon as a founding member of the Beatles brought the modern era of rock and roll to its mature stage. It is said the Beatles helped bring down the Iron Curtain. Lennon stood by his ideals.

It was 30 years ago today that John Lennon died by gunfire. He stood completely against guns, weapons, war, and violence. A true artist in his time, he stood for freedom, love, peace, beauty, free speech, creativity, artistry, compassion, and all the best of mankind. He pointed out the inequities in society of man, and the hope and dreams of love. He married his true love, a Japanese woman of the world, Yoko Ono, despite much public criticism. When he told the truth, people often denied him, but he did so honestly and with humor ("Woman is nigger of the world"). His goal was to end war, and his life and music stand as an eternal mark on the history of man. He lives on forever in the heart of rock and roll.

LEGACY OF JOHN AND YOKO

Yoko Ono carries on his legacy. I saw John in a dream a few years back after his death of his human body. He was playing solo acoustic on stage for an audience, among whom I was a part. I feel quite sure he lives on, as do we all, "across the universe". His other songs among an absolutely amazing legacy of music include "Imagine", "A day in the life", "Revolution", and "All you need is love".

2010: RECENT DOCUMENTARY ON JOHN AND THE BEATLES

We note the recent bioepic about "How the BEATLES rocked the Kremlin", and a second Masterpiece Theatre on John's years before moving to New York and his relationship with his parents, Yoko, the Beatles, and the world.

SEX AND SOCIETY: ATTITUDES AND GRATITUDE

Elizabeth Edwards died also on this date today, a public death by cancer just a few years after her husband John was caught in disloyalty. There is something to this coincidence. It seems clear the society can kill, and it is wise to become a recluse. John Lennon tried to keep his privacy, in the great city where people did respect him by letting him be. His murderer, John Hinkley, remains in jail, after he made the trip from Hawaii to New York. I have a feeling few feel any worse now than Hinckley does about it, but man is accountable for his actions. Yoko remains ever faithful, a key to sexual understanding that is a key to survival in our modern age.

SOUL SYNASTRY OF LOVE

Here is the amazing synastry (love bond) of their SOL ASTROLOGY*: John was born a Libra with Moon in Aquarius, and Sol in Sagittarius. Yoko is an Aquarian, with Moon in Sagittarius, Ascendent in Libra, and Sol in Aquarius. As you can see, they share all signs well, especially the Sol sign, and a Sun and Moon tie, the best of bonds between two Souls.

* Sol Astrology is the find of Paneagle, author of this blogspot. It uses the 60th harmonic of the Sun sign and all positions to draw the "Sol" chart of a person in the lifetime. Soul is the inner self, the true self that is eternal. Paneagle is a Sagittarius born in New York City, where John Lennon loved and lived happily with Yoko for 9 years.
